Meet Jake
Meet Jake Rackliff, Your Registered Maine Guide
Jake grew up in the Belgrade Lakes region of central Maine, where he developed a lifelong passion for conservation and the outdoors. Hunting and fishing have been part of his life since he was young. Early on, he participated in the Junior Maine Guide program, gaining hands-on woodcraft skills and outdoor education.
Today, Jake is a registered Maine Guide, licensed in fishing, hunting, and recreation. He enjoys teaching novice hunters and youth about tracking, ethical hunting practices for deer and turkey, and fishing techniques in both open water and ice fishing. He also provides outdoor educational opportunities for schools, homeschool groups, and other organizations.
Jake currently lives in Shapleigh, Maine, with his children and his wife, Katherine, an outdoor therapist and speech pathologist. When he isn’t guiding, you’ll find him exploring Maine with his family—camping, kayaking, fishing, or checking out local trails.
